Let's Have a Word with Fear

Look around you. Everyone is in a race. A race with themselves, trying to be better, even when the frame of reference is arbitrary. But one thing is common, every person shares this, the cause of race, the reason why it exists. What are your guesses? Hope for a better future? If you think so, then you are mistaken. Hope is the kind of positivity, that has long been lost from the minds around us, including us. What has now overtaken is Fear.
All of us are afraid, whether we admit or not is another point. Most of our decisions are fear-driven. We do not work hard to succeed, but we rather work hard because we are afraid of failure. The former statement might not seem sensible, but it actually carries a lot of weight, which precisely is the difference between one who wants to succeed and one who is afraid of failure. The later one has to struggle the same amount as the former one, but at the same time, the later one has to carry the weight of responsibilities. He not only has to prepare himself to succeed but also for the price which he has to pay, in case he fails.
But as much as fear is negativity in its grand form, I believe fear is not really that bad of an emotion. Fear of a situation, often makes you prepared for it, in case it ever arrives. And if it does arrive, you find out that it cannot surprise you anymore, because your fear has made you live that situation a thousand times in a hundred worse ways than the actual reality.
If a bad situation is a big pile of burning charcoal, then fear is the flames surrounding it; so until you reach the charcoal, you are already so burnt that the charcoal can't cause much harm.
Fear is undoubtedly one of the most unpredictable entities. It can build you up to a point of eternity, or it can break you into a void, a place of no turning back. One who is afraid can either fight the fact that he is afraid or accept it. I don't believe there exists a reason why someone should fight the fact that he is afraid. It is not something to be ashamed of. We are all afraid, each and every one of us. But that is what makes us human. And once you accept that you are afraid, you start fighting the fear, rather than denying that something can scare you. Someone who achieves this perspective; only eternity is the limit for him. But again, our human characteristic will ensure, that we will never get rid of all our fears. The day when you will wake up and think that you are finally free of all the fears, is the day when you will never wake up.
Fighting our fears, surely acknowledges our existence as humans, but having fears, proves it.
