Let's Have a Word with Fear

Look around you. Everyone is in a race. A race with themselves, trying to be better, even when the frame of reference is arbitrary. But one thing is common, every person shares this, the cause of race, the reason why it exists. What are your guesses? Hope for a better future? If you think so, then you are mistaken. Hope is the kind of positivity, that has long been lost from the minds around us, including us . What has now overtaken is Fear .  All of us are afraid, whether we admit or not is another point. Most of our decisions are fear-driven. We do not work hard to succeed, but we rather work hard because we are afraid of failure. The former statement might not seem sensible, but it actually carries a lot of weight, which precisely is the difference between one who wants to succeed and one who is afraid of failure. The later one has to struggle the same amount as the former one, but at the same time, the later one has to carry the weight of responsibilities.  He not only h...

Poem: The Eternal Eyes

Infinity gained its meaning, when complexity of the emotions in life came to existance. But between those infinite permutations, lied a possibility of destruction too . I watched them thriving for centuries, but I watched them burn too, in the fires that I did not spread, but flames that stopped only when nothing was left to turn to ashes. But watching the world burn, knowing fates, and fire imparted from the life of world itself. It is a punishment that I cannot escape, a truth I never ignored and will never be able to. Because even if eternity gains its meaning from me, it is not a boon, but something I have to live with. I am someone you know, someone you feel everyday, watching my represents at one of your...

Poem: Darkness - A Boon or a Bane

A day came in my life, when darkness was all that I could see. Powerless I was standing in the middle of nowhere, with not even a sliver of belief. From the most brilliant of minds too, sensible thinking ability sometimes leaves. Because knowledge is always overpowered, when it comes to grief. This world has witnessed more than you can think of, the mighty have fallen, noones have risen. But darkness was what remained their ally, when the world had lost faith in them. Some of the men rose from the darkness, and those who did made history. Some found the darkness more comforting, and those who did got lost as mystery. It did feel as if times were difficult, but it is true that I had nothing to lose. That brought a sense of freedom, a strength about which I had no clues. Now when I am out of it, I don't like to admit but I miss it. Because these dark times were difficult, but they were not really my enemy. They were my points of enlightenment, something whi...
