Poem: A Good Man

A good man, is not born an angel. He carries instinct to survive and is vandal. He is shaped by those around, to become better than how he was found. This process gives him, what makes him good, and gives him reasoning to do, what he should. But darkness and light both he carries, light he brims while dark he buries. Take from a good man, what makes him good, and the angel will wear the devil's hood. Experience the light leaving his soul, And watch darkness occupying that hole. He shall fall; someone else shall rise in the dark, having nothing to lose, fear's territory shall he mark. A bad day of a good man, shall seek the future with the world torn, and this is all it takes, for an undefeatable monster to be born.                                  - Sushant Kumar Das

Poem : An Idea of Misery

I can't recall, if it was a day filled with mystery or misery, I realised that day, something kept following me. I had that feeling for quite some time, as if I had known it, as if I had heard it's chime. Some days I felt it brought moments of pity, but some days, I felt it brought sadness for eternity. Some nights it let the moon shine as if it was mocking me, while some days it made everything dark, even when it was sunny. It was an idea, a concept that shook the human brothers, It said that some lives were worth more than the others. This concept was against the ideals of humanity, but then why was our history being written with this insanity? Every war that ever broke out, witnessed civilian deaths in bold letter , because the people who were the cause of war felt they were better. Never once did anyone win a war, all they got was loss. The decision of sacrificing lives, was no more than a matter of toss. How did this idea survive? This was t...

Poem: The Nostalgia Pin

I went there, and not alone, I carried some entities that were long gone. I found myself breaking piece by piece, few of them belonged to that place I reached.  I heard it, in the roaring silence that surrounded, the echos started booming, that I once had grounded. I found myself waking up from a sleep, it was an alarm, I had to unknowingly keep.  I met them, after a time I couldn't quantify, a moment, neither as happy or sad could it qualify. I found myself trapped in a time leap. How alive those dead memories were, inside us deep.  It was a place I spent my childhood in, it was an old song, which was still trapped in.  They were my old friends, my heart they used to reside in. Life's balloon seems full, until pricked by the nostalgia pin.  It was not sadness that broke me piece by piece. Those pieces were trying to rejoin from where they were picked. No wonder I had locked those memories in my mind, as the pieces th...

Poem: The Two Doors

Walking past the past, one shall stumble across a day, fears shall reach the deepest of souls, while the overlord stands at the bay. Two doors shall lie ahead, between which the truths shall be wired. A choice shall be made, and destiny shall be acquired. Who shall stand at this point, ironies may follow the one. The left may be right and right may not be the right one.  Shall one hear the voices that echo, shall one view the sights that surround, one will be cursed with senses possessed, and the true choice shall not be found. But shall one close his senses, shall one walk through one's soul, one shall find the choice that was right, and overlord shall provide one's role. Walking past the past, when one will stumble across this day, overlord shall not interfere in choices, but he shall show one, the way.                                            ...

Independence Day : It's a Responsibility, Not a Day

So it's the independence day. I guess there is a beautiful motive to its existence; To appreciate the fact that our history has been a tennis ball, in a match between the opressors and the opressed and there were people who rose up against the opressors thus making our country free. What we forget is that they did not win this war overnight. It took around one and a half century before they won. Also when I say 'they', I am not even close to aware of how many people this word is referring to here. When the blood of these people mixed into the soil of our country, only then it became free. We think that by celebrating this day, we are honouring those people. But I don't believe that if any of those martyrs, if given a chance to see the present country, would worry about how the independence day is celebrated. All they would care about is what we have done to the country that they won for us at the cost of their lives. And as much as I would like to say that we have prog...

Walk Through Time

The broken bell will be seen again, the world shall hear its chime. Possibilities define the infinities, shall one travel in time. Time ; one of the most intriguing mysteries that physics has encountered during its development. It's one of the most fascinating features is that it is different for each observer (as explained by the Theory of Relativity ). Now this brings the possibility of a very popular concept of time travel in future . But travelling back to the past is too much to handle. As far as the modern physics has reached, which is an exponentially large amount as compared to a couple of centuries ago, time travel is nothing but an idea that came to someone's mind, which was not of much use, but science fiction adapted it, making it one of the most successful plots for any Sci-Fi movie. Now the reason for success was very simple. All the people have one thing common which they constantly carry with them; regrets . So the idea of going back in past, correcti...

Poem: The Day of Void

It's the day when nothing is audible. And not because everyone is quiet, but because there is noone to hear. It's the day when noone is in pain, not because there is no fire, but because there is noone to burn. The sights of destruction are dominant, with strands of flora struggling to survive. The fires that have burnt mighty stars, have taken over our planet earth too. The drops of nectar from the heaven are still showering on the planet. But the fate of the life was sealed, and all life has come to void. The water now ceases to exist, but who cares! There is noone to drink it. The air is filled with the fumes of life, that were burnt amidst the cruelest of pains. The sounds of the lives in agony, have left their echos in the silences that remain. Oh Great lord! Why did this day fall on us? What the world would not have given, to be spared of the might of this day? Nature has revealed the power of its anger! All bow their heads, its the doomsday.   ...
